ECO-EFFICIENCY TO LIVE WELL TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE

The WTorre group cares about the place where we will live in decades to come. That's why the topic of sustainability is so present in its day-to-day activities, permeating all its business and actions. It is the underlying premise of all its developments, from design through to usability.

Over the years, WTorre has specialized in launching smart buildings that are examples of green construction, and that transform the regions where they are located.

Sustainability certifications

Many of these ventures have received the stamp of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Core & Shell (LEED (C&S), granted by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

Other buildings are in the process of certification, and are blazing the same trail, such as Allianz Parque, one of the biggest events and entertainment centers in Latin America, and the WTorre Plaza complex, which houses the Shoppink JK Iguatemi, in the south of the city of São Paulo.

More sustainable surroundings

The company's activities are not restricted to buildings. Its commitment to the future of the surrounding areas leads WTorre to take care to improve the quality of life of the people who live and work in the district.

For example, in São Paulo, the company has restored part of the Manequinho Lopes Greenhouse and the Praça Burle Marxe public square, in the Parque do Ibirapuera park, as well as improving and maintaining the Parque do Povo, in the Olympic Village.

In Rio de Janeiro, while building the Centro Empresarial Senado, it was also responsible for one of the largest historical restoration works in the country.

In all, it brought twenty-five buildings back to their former glory, including the Igreja Santo Antônio dos Pobres, a 19th century church. It has also repaired sidewalks and roads, and built a flood control system to mitigate the impacts of flooding.

And in Rio de Janeiro, WTorre carried out works to protect the Baixada Fluminense mangrove swamps. The area was completely restored, and the company continues to oversee its conservation it until today.
